May I have a glass of water please"

I've always loved this scene from Kill Bill vol. 2, it made me cry even once,
because her character is so hated, and beaten and treated like complete dirt
for no good reason, and she wakes up from this coma to discover her baby taken out of her womb and gone
and she recieves info that she cant have anymore, and of course her husband (or boyfriend)
is dead and she feels such loss, even with all that, and being buried alive she still finds
the strength within herself, to love her self and complete her goal, eah it's revenge but
thats not always a bad thing, so she digs her self out and of it all, rises from nothing and theres
something about that I relate to myself and real people in our lives, and it really touches me.
Thats what a true hero is.

One of my favorite Halloween costumes that I've worn in recent years is that of one of those Flying Monkey minions of the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz.

New study proves that pain is not a symptom of arthritis. Pain causes arthritis.

Summary: This study clearly shows that pain itself is the cause of arthritis. Pain causes inflamation which spreads to the central nervous system. From there, it spreads to the joints, causing more pain and inflamation, and a feedback loop. By blocking pain signals, arthritis spread can be prevented and even reversed. It is likely that any methods that successfully block the pain successfully prevent and reverse arthritis, including medications and natural methods. Here's the article:

Spiritual Healing and Psychotherapy

Spiritual Healing and Psychotherapy

by Daniel J. Benor, MD

Spiritual healers have been known for bringing about unusual cures throughout recorded history. Until recently, modern medicine has viewed such reports with great scepticism. They are often attributed to placebo reactions, spontaneous remissions of symptoms of ordinary illnesses, remissions of 'hysterical' symptoms, or even to naive exaggerations or deliberate charlatanism.

Spiritual Healing

Becca's Note: This is an article from the UK. There are a couple of abbreviations in it that I didn't know the meanings of, so I looked them up: "NHS" stands for National Health Service. "ME" is myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).

Once dismissed as hokum, new evidence is forcing doctors to accept the power of spiritual healing. Click here to see why the laying on of hands may not be quackery after all:
