a Case of Precognition?
I had posted this in paranormal chat, but reproducing here for more permanence, I don't have many chances to post something interesting, so I take advantage of it haha!
Here's something cool that happened to me earlier this week. I had a minor case of precognition.
I had just popped in a old twilight zone dvd ('60's version) and paused it at the beginning of the show to use the bathroom
As I got up, I started thinking of Anthrax. Not the toxin, but the early 90's rock band.
just a song started playing in my head...
after I got back, I started watching the show. It was an episode where a nazi dude went back to dachau to reminisce, and the dead basically drive him insane
well anyway, at one point as he's going insane, he's talking to a guy he killed and the guy replies "..
..."and they heard you offer an apology for all the monsters of our time"....which is a line in the Anthrax song I was playing in my head earlier.
I don't recall ever seeing this episode of Twilight zone. Also, I never knew where that line came from in the song, just assumed it was them

That's really cool. I've had some instances of similar things happening. It's great that you thought to share it while the details were still fresh. That could either be precognition or some kind of connection to the universal mind or social mind, or a case of super-mind, where your subconscious put together some very specific details from your far past. Any way you look at it, it's pretty amazing!
Yes it definitely could have been a subconscious connection, I thought the same thing after it happened. I kept rewinding and watching the same scene like five times or something, when my metaphorical jaw hit the floor.
That's pretty Awesome!
I got curious about the line and looked it up.
It sounds like a "sample" (maybe from that actual Twilight Zone episode) at the beginning of Anthrax's "Intro to Reality" which is the sixth track on their "Persistence of Time" album:
\We did as we were told.\
\We just heard you offer the apology for all the monsters of our times.\ \
\Is that correct?\ (Muwahahahahahaha)
(the rest of the track is instrumental)
Then the line is referenced again in "Belly of the Beast" which is the next track on that album:
You walk this earth without a heart
You tear the innocent's souls apart
You shovel your conscience into the grave
You walk this earth without a heart
Your uniform couldn't be take off
A tattoo burned into your flesh
Your mind, your voice
These are your instruments of death
How could you dare to be so bold
>>You only did as you were told<<
Marionettes dancing in time
>>To the apologetic lines<<
>>For all the monsters of our time<<
Who is evil, who is blind?
In the name of who you'll find
A city of souls dying for peace
Welcome to the belly of the beast
One mind, one voice
Welcome to the belly of the beast
Who hears, your voice?
Million, never never again
Madness, never never again
Martyrs, dead that can't die
Monsters
Insanity, the normal state
The left hand a hammer,
the right, the stake
Driven so deep into the heart
It's killing love, it's killing faith
It's killing 'cause it's from the heart
What better way to demoralize
When your own children are your spies
The things you trust are not the same
Trust in death, trust in grief
Trust in hope is trust in pain
Who is evil, who is blind?
In the name of who you'll find
A city of souls dying for peace
Welcome to the belly of the beast
One mind, one voice
Welcome to the belly of the beast
Who hears, your voice?
Million, never never again
Madness, never never again
Martyrs, dead that can't die
Monsters
Who is evil, who is blind?
In the name of who you'll find
You're not supposed to question faith
But how do you accept this fate?
Million, you walk this
earth without a heart
Madness, tearing innocent souls apart
Martyrs, shovel your
conscience into the grave
Monsters
A city of souls dying for peace
Welcome to the belly of the beast
One mind, one voice
Welcome to the belly of the beast
Who hears, your voice?
This is the belly of the beast
And all the souls dying for peace
Inside the belly of the beast
Millions, never never again
Madness, never never again
Martyrs, dead that can't die
Monsters
You made me dig out my Anthrax cd from my music vaults hidden deep in the earth (or perhaps under some clothes on my bedroom floor)!
After listening to those two tracks, what I remembered was the sample (yes indeedy the lines were cut from the twilight zone episode 74 "Deaths-Head Revisited") in Intro, but I was singing Belly of the Beast. In reality the track "Intro" is just a long instrumental beginning of "Belly", and it was just broken into two tracks on the album, although it's a seamless transition.
Monsters!
Monsters!
I just found this blog post, well Ricky's blog in general
,
That is pretty surreal man, the odds huh
I used to watch them years ago, there is something very
comforting about them, not that entertaining mostly cheese
covered in cheese, but have good twists and acting sometimes.
I hope this is ok to mention here,
Ricky speaking of old school hard rock, I recently started jamming alot of
Pantera and come to find out they actually
started in 81, they were a glam/hair band until 1988 and
they're 1985 LP "i am the night" ROCKS, I had no idea this existed,
"cmon eyes" stings my soul! listen to Dimebags skill!
You can mention pretty much anything you want here, Jordan
That's crazy I had no idea they were a hair band before doing their heavy metal. It definitely sounds very 1985ish in that song, good thing for them to have changed, or they would've faded into obscurity. Yeah and Darrell had a lot of skill, even way back then!
