Ghost Dream

I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I woke up in my bed and felt like someone was in the room with me. I looked at the bedroom door which in the dream had a chain lock on it and I saw the chain move and lock the door. I tried to scream for Jay, but no sound came out. While I kept trying to scream or make any kind of sound to get Jay's attention, the furniture in my room started moving toward me. Finally Jay opened the door and came in. We ran out together and ran down the hall to the living room and he told me the furniture in the living room was moving too. When we got there, I turned around and looked back toward my bedroom. I saw a big man-shaped figure in my doorway that looked like it was wrapped in tan-colored bandages like a mummy. It came toward us down the hall. I yelled to Jay to get one of our cell phones and use it to videotape what was happening. The mummy-ghost reached the living room and attacked me. It threw me around the room and felt completely solid when I pushed back at it. I struggled with it over to the front door and managed to throw it out the apartment door and down the stairs. It was daylight outside. When it hit the stairs, it lost it's shape...as if the ghost had disappeared from inside the bandages and left the bandages behind. When I went back in, there were about 5 more ghosts that had materialized inside. I told Jay that we needed to throw them down the stairs outside. I fought with all of them and threw them all outside one by one.

a Case of Precognition?

I had posted this in paranormal chat, but reproducing here for more permanence, I don't have many chances to post something interesting, so I take advantage of it haha!

Here's something cool that happened to me earlier this week. I had a minor case of precognition.

I had just popped in a old twilight zone dvd ('60's version) and paused it at the beginning of the show to use the bathroom

As I got up, I started thinking of Anthrax. Not the toxin, but the early 90's rock band.

just a song started playing in my head...

after I got back, I started watching the show. It was an episode where a nazi dude went back to dachau to reminisce, and the dead basically drive him insane

well anyway, at one point as he's going insane, he's talking to a guy he killed and the guy replies "..

..."and they heard you offer an apology for all the monsters of our time"....which is a line in the Anthrax song I was playing in my head earlier.

I don't recall ever seeing this episode of Twilight zone. Also, I never knew where that line came from in the song, just assumed it was them

Jay's Paranormal Experiences

I've had paranormal experiences from time to time all of my life. I'm a very logical person by nature, so I always studied the details, and sought every possible explanation each time these things happened. Only the ones that seemed completley unexplainable by ordinary means were logged in my internal parnormal file.

Realizing that most people have a hard time accepting anything very unusual, I kept most of these experiences to myself, or only shared them with my closest friends. I've recently decided that it is for everyone's benefit if more people speak openly about their paranormal experiences, so I'm doing it myself. I've written a couple of recent experiences, and I'll be adding some past experiences over time.

Halloween

Halloween, or Hallowe’en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving Jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories and watching horror movies. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twenty first century.

Why Spirits Wear Clothes

Here's an interesting article I came across on our Paranormal News Feed:

Pseudoskeptics and debunkers are usually quick to smirk and scoff at reports that spirits wear clothes. Indeed, it even exceeds the boggle threshold of many who believe in a spirit world.

"When the soul leaves the body it is at the first moment quite unclothed as at birth," Julia Ames communicated to William T. Stead, the prominent British journalist and automatist who went down with the Titanic, after her physical death. "I awoke standing by my dead body, thinking I was still alive and in my ordinary physical frame. It was only when I saw the corpse in the bed that I knew that something had happened. When the thought of nakedness crosses the spirit there comes the clothing which you need. The idea with us is creative. We think, and the thing is. I do not remember putting on any garments. There is just the sense of need, and the need is supplied."

Julia went on to say that once the spirit has fully awakened and adapted to the new environment, it has the ability to make itself appear in different ways, e.g., to appear as a child to someone who knew the spirit, when in the flesh, only as a child. "We have no need to do so for our own purposes, but when a newcomer arrives, or when we have to manifest ourselves to you who are still in the body, then we need to use this thought-creation, and body forth the visual tangible appearances with which you are familiar."

In effect, Julia said what many other spirits have communicated: that they project an image of themselves as they remember having looked in the flesh to the newcomer on that side as well as to the person still in the earthly life so that they are recognized.

Paranormal Group

Welcome to the Paranormal Group. Here, we post, discuss, and explore anything related to the paranormal. This includes ghosts, aliens, unknown creatures, unusual theories, or anything else which is not explainable by mainstream science. It is obvious to the majority of paranormal enthusiasts that there is something real behind these phenomena, even though it is on the fringe of our understanding. While mainstream science usually does not support paranormal assertions, real life experience and broad areas of science like quantum physics clearly do support many paranormal theories.

The term "paranormal" is often related to the term "supernatural," which means, "of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe." We often don't see what is behind the activity. We often see only the results of the activity, and are left to wonder what is causing these things, and how. Long ago, people used to have a hard time accepting the concept of air, this invisible substance that was all around us anywhere on earth. Even as recently as a few decades ago, mainstream science still believed that the space between planets was actually a void, while many philosophers and spiritualists insisted that there was definitely energy everywhere in the universe. Now even mainstream science accepts that space is full of a wide variety of energies and particles.

Nearly all new and unusual ideas are met with skepticism, even when they are correct. Most of us who are interested in the paranormal field know that this stuff is as real as the air we breathe. We may not know exactly what it is, but we are facing it honestly, and trying to figure it out.

Explore the mysteries of the paranormal.

Ghost Girl Head By Church

This video is one of those "it has to be very real or a complete fake." This one is awesome except for the constant question of "is this real?" Could it be real? Anything is possible. It's a shame so many people are making fake videos these days. They've disabled embedding on this video, so here's the link:

Amazing Alien Abduction Attempt Footage

When they slow down and enhance it, you can clearly see a strange (alien?) creature reaching out from mid-air and grabbing this boy. Is it real? A lot of people believe it is.

Black Shape Hovering Over Me

Last night, in the middle of the night, during one of my deep-sleep cycles, I awoke just enough to see a black shape hovering over my chest. It could have been on my chest, but I say hovering because I felt no sensation of it physically contacting me. It was fairly dark in the room, with some light coming in from the window and my open bedroom door. I was still partially asleep, but I immediately realized this was something that shouldn't be there. It was completely black, and obscuring more than a third (maybe half) of my field of view.
