Ghostly Encounters

I put that I would work up the courage and investigate, if it didn't seem too scary.

If it looked like a solid black figure in broad daylight and it was making creepy noises, I'd probably run out screaming, and move.

If I saw a little girl playing in the hall or something like that, it would frighten me, but I'd work up the courage to deal.

I think I would be very happy to meet an orb or sprite I can interact with and talk to. It would shock me at first, then I'd adapt. Could make a new small paranormal friend!

However I know WHY it scares me...

If you pay attention to the media about ghosts and spirits and the like, all of it's made up to be fairly disturbing and bad and almost ALL of it is 100% bullcrap.
How many ghost movies are out there that portray a POSITIVE image of paranormal activity.... the Casper movie? Is that it? Maybe the Beetlejuice cartoons (I loved those and still do!) Maybe you can say the "Others" had a clever ending..

Almost nothing else. Even "Ghost Hunters" is bad. COME ON.

What "may" or may not be real on the internet as far as ghost sightings is always paired with freaky music or "Me and my roomate moved out immediately O_O"

I'm sorry, but that crap has got to stop. I'm sick and tired of spookies!

Everyone's terrified of the Paranormal because of the media and retarded sensationalism.

That is so true!
Gasp The media's portrayal of the paranormal as creepy and scary is what makes it seem so. My experiences have been mostly good to neutral. If you want to see a *great* show about the paranormal that isn't just about trying to scare you, watch Ghostly Encounters. It features people telling their true paranormal experiences. A few are scary, but most of them are just interesting with no real sense of danger, or very positive.

You're home alone at night. You see a ghostly figure go into a room at the end of the hall. What do you do? By: Jay (8 replies) Mon, 07/14/2008 - 14:27
