For me, all kinds of exercise help me feel better now and in the long run. Dancing is my favorite, followed closely by free-running and swimming, but even a rote weight-lifting routine can be very enjoyable. There are times when I've been at the computer pretty much all day for days, and sheer mental inertia causes me to feel like I'm not in the mood to exercise, but then my lack of physical energy finally makes me realize that I *need* it. When I do finally get up and exercise, at first it can be difficult, but then within a few minutes, I start to feel a *lot* better. The best times are when I get into a good routine of getting at least 20 minutes of exercise a day every day. I feel great nearly all of the time these days.
