It could easily be fake...

I would love for it to be real, but as you pointed out, there are just way too many things about it that are suspect. If it is fake, it's very well done. The transparency is actually very easy to do. Just film the same spot twice. Have a person or object there one of the times. Then blend the videos and adjust the transparency level of the one with the person or object.
