Anemic / Bionics on the fritz

I spent a wonderful time in Ky despite an unrealistic need for sleep and my spinal stimulator occasionally shocking me (the original shock almost caused me to pass out, the rest were more like a live wire touching my butt and leeft leg without warning).

I prevailed during my trip. Then returned to LA.

I went to the Pain Mgt doc (spinal stimulator). The left lead wire in my spine either disconnected from the battery occasionally, moved out of proper placement or shorted out. That wire was turned off. Now all the pain stimulation goes thru the right wire, which causes pain in my spine. I have adjusted it so thatthe pain is almost tolerant at the minimal level of stimulation I can tolerate.

I went to my regular doctor. She said that I needed blood work because of my continued need for sleep, and disinterest in anything else and shortness of breath.I thought maybe a combo of depression and asthma. Nope. I am moderately to severly anemic. I have to take prescribed iron pills that sort of look like blood capsules (which spoke to my gothic vamp side). I feel like crap. Like the flu but no coughing or spewing snot.
I hope I don't have Mono or EBv again.

At 1:30 pm. I was yelled at today (as method to wake me up) because my girlfriend "took Derby Day off from work, so that I could sleep all day instead of spending time with her". I was yelled at further because I became short of breath and tripped over things while trying to help her with heavy household maintenance (which was thrown into my face that she was doing these things because I had been asking her to for days).

I went back to bed (crying).

Then I put on my big girl panties (yes, I said PANTIES) and I changed clothes, cleaned up , took my morning meds and got into the Derby spirit. The movie Underworld was on TV,so my mood picked up a bit more.(a personal favorite). I also like XMen. We have so much in common. Especially Wolverine. I have a spine made of steel (not titanium), but no retractable blades in my hand (or sideburns). I can't put my finger on it, but i like him.

By 5:00pm we were watching the Derby (i took my "other" meds to be pleasant) and eating KFC.

Now I'm trying to sleep...... Nope just tired....exhausted.....where is my Ambien (& supporting cast of meds)??

Thanks 4 listening.

G'nite.

I'm glad you enjoyed...

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in KY. Big Grin

I'm sorry to hear about your malfunctioning bionics. It's good that you were able to adjust it to a level that at least somewhat works for you.

Speaking of Wolverine, did you get to see the new X-Men Origins movie about him yet? It's really good. It's a lot better than we thought it would be.

As far as the anemia, thankfully that's something that is rather easily taken care of with the iron pills. Once your body adjusts, you should be feeling a lot more energetic. Rest well and be strong!
